ABS fan cover for N hotend
thingiverse
Since the original solution of sliding a fan duct cover is quite inconvenient. Upgrading to a 40mm fan requires resizing the stock fan cover, and that would add up to the length of the entire cover, almost touching the heatbed when printing ABS. The heatbed temperature is likely over 100 degrees Celsius in such cases, so even an ABS cover could deform due to the heat. So, I remixed the stock fan to make it specifically for ABS. No fan duct is needed for blowing onto the model. The original model was provided by Raise 3D, and a version for 40mm fans is attached. For all printer parts, use ABS/PC materials to withstand heat better. To print much better, rotate the model on the x-axis by 90 degrees.
