Abrams AGDS

The Abrams AGDS (Armored Ground Defense System) was a cutting-edge vehicle concept developed by Dr. Asher H. Sharoni, a seasoned colonel with the Israeli Defense Forces, and Lawrence D. Bacon from Western Design Howden in July 1996. This revolutionary air-defense vehicle was designed to safeguard Abrams formations against airborne threats, while also boasting capabilities to engage ground targets when necessary. The United States had long been seeking an armored AA gun to match the Russian Shilka's prowess, and pairing the Abrams chassis with a new turret seemed like the perfect solution to keep pace with American tank units. Although this vision never materialized beyond paper, gamers can now experience the Abrams AGDS in Armored Warfare, getting a glimpse into what could have been if it had seen deployment.
