With a larger house, I was eager to create an even better setup that could be tailored specifically to my 3D printer area. As many 3D printer owners know, having multiple tools at their disposal is common. If you have access to a table saw, this connector system allows you to build a custom and expandable enclosure perfectly suited for your needs. The possibilities are endless, with no limitations on the size or design of the enclosure or table. To build using this system, all you need is something to cut 2x4's into 1.25" square dowels. I used a tablesaw and trimmed down some 2x4's that measured 1.5"x3.5". This makes the ABLE system about the same price or even less expensive than the Prusa LACK table system. I constructed the table shown in the image for around $50. This Extended Corner Connector boasts several impressive features: - Each of the three inside corners has five supports placed at 0.25" intervals. - Each corner has a support for a plexiglass window, spaced at 0.125", accommodating 3mm or 0.098" windows. - The ability to add or remove any of the supports or legs as needed is available. Additional features include: - All window slots are 1/8" wide and suitable for 3mm or 0.098" Plexi-glass. - Each corner of the Corner Connector and Extended Connector has space to place support boards at 1/4" increments, either on the inside or outside of the support beams.
