This is my recreation of the geared astrolabe of Abi Bakr made during the islamic golden age. I tried to faithfully recreate the design and this design requires only glue and paperclips to function. This is my first ever thingiverse entry and I hope everyone thinks its cool.I designed it to be as close to the original as possible so all the gears have the correct amount of teeth (as per the old documents) and when all is put together properly you should be able to make it function as Abi Bakr intended.You need only cut pieces of paperclip to use as shafts for this design.The glue should only be used to attach the non moving parts with the exception of the small gear to the pin.
