The decorative bee of the Aguirre Palace facade in Cartagena (1901, architects Victor Beltri and Roqueta). Originating Museum: Regional Modern Art Museum Inventory Number: BIC (R.D. 563/1982) Dating: Modern Era (1901) Technical Description: A schematically drawn bee carved out of limestone stands with stylized legs ending in claws. In the background, a dotted circle is framed by symmetrical vegetal decoration on both sides. An architectural molding encloses the group, separating it from the glazed tile decoration of the upper facade part.
