Abby Hatcher Fuzzly Spotter
thingiverse
My daughter is absolutely hooked on Abby Hatcher's Nickelodeon show. Since there aren't many toys available to match the series, I decided to take matters into my own hands. This wristwatch is called the Fuzzly Spotter and it's something I quickly whipped up, but I think other parents may want to print one for their kids too. To make this wristwatch functional, use a piece of 1.75mm filament pressed tightly into the hinge holes (2mm hole) as the hinge pin. To widen the hole and clean out any debris, fold over a paperclip by 180 degrees and wiggle it through the hole. If the hole is still too tight, try heating up the paperclip to open it up a bit. You can attach the strap using a velcro strap (wire management one), sew on elastic, or use another type of strap you prefer. The strap opening is 17mm wide, which should be enough to accommodate a 5/8 inch piece of purple elastic (available on Amazon). I've included a picture in PNG format that you can print on a label or sticker for the inside. This image needs to be no more than 39mm at maximum and may require some minor trimming to fit. The top piece of this wristwatch is smaller and has details underneath, which requires minimal supports. Printing the details up on the top piece will require more supports but should result in a nicer-looking print. I'd love to see any remixes, fixes, or better versions you come up with!
