Abat jour modulaire
thingiverse
One of my first projects with my MicroDelta Rework, built with ABS material. The shade is designed in a bell-like shape, composed of wooden BBQ skewers assembled by printed connectors. The 10 types of connectors are numbered from one to ten on the outside face. To assemble it, I start by mounting the rods onto the first ring and then cutting them at the intersections. Next, I thread the connectors number one onto these intersections. After that, I add another series of rods, cutting them at the same intersections, and assemble the row of connectors number two. This process continues until I complete the tenth row. To give it a decorative touch, I glued colored translucent paper on some "windows". The central ring fits snugly over the light bulb socket, which can be easily found in most DIY stores. Before completing the project, I checked all the holes with a drill to ensure they were round and evenly spaced. It's essential to maintain the direction of the holes to achieve the desired final shape.
