After printing Duncan's AA Battery Box, I wanted a AAA Battery Box with the same external dimensions. Box holds 40 AAA Batteries.

Included Fusion360 (.f3d) and .step files in addition to the STLs in case someone wants to create other battery layouts while maintaining consistent external dimensions.

This is a remodel in Fusion360 from scratch by me, using the printed AA Box for dimensions; it is not identical to Duncan's. For instance, my lid has more play on his box than mine, so dimensions are certainly not identical.

Note 0: I have not modeled the battery size letters into the lids, as this is trivial to do if desired in Fusion360 using the .f3d file or TinkerCAD using the STL files. I personally used matte black vinyl to label the lids as well as provide a QR code to a google sheet used for logging NiMH usage.

Note 1: To keep AAA batteries from moving excessively, the BatteryBoxLid_AAA model is 5.9mm thicker internally to maintain same clearance as AA BatteryBox Lid (~1.55mm); I have cut 2mm black foam common in packaging and glued it to the interior, removing vertical movement and associated noise. This increase in thickness resulted in only +0.93g ( ~0.03USD ) additional PETG vs the AA Lid, using the print settings below.

Printed in PETG with 0.4mm Nozzle, 0.2mm Layer Height, 10% Grid Infill, and 3 perimeters.

‘BatteryBox_AAA’ printed in 7hrs 11m (on MK3S)

‘BatteryBoxLid_AAA’ printed in 3hrs 31m (on MK3S)
