This rechargeable lithium battery adapter enables you to power devices designed for multiple AA batteries with rechargeable lithium-ion 14500 batteries instead.\nRechargeable lithium 14500 batteries match the size of AA batteries but produce more power at 3.7 volts, fully charging to 4.2 volts, rendering them incompatible with standard 1.5-volt AA batteries.\nThis battery adapter lets you energize devices that require multiple AA batteries using a single rechargeable lithium-ion battery.\nYou can replace two or three AA batteries with one rechargeable lithium-ion 14500 battery, filling empty spaces with the adapter.\nAfter constructing the battery adapter, thread a sturdy 12-gauge wire through its hollow body from end to end. Shape tight loops at each wire end to form secure electrical contacts.\nMake sure these loops are close to the plastic material and secure; you can also use a vice to tighten them if needed.\nThe exposed copper sections will extend equally on both ends, mirroring the length of standard AA batteries.\nWhen utilizing this battery adapter, consider your device's voltage requirements. A 3.3-volt circuit may be compromised by the 4.2-volt rechargeable lithium-ion battery, but LEDs and electric motors usually handle moderate increases in voltage with ease.
