Human: AA Slug (Nail Pocket) is a protective casing for larger nails, designed to replace an AA battery in multi-battery packs that accept non-1.5v replacements. It simply takes up the space where one AA battery would go, preventing over-voltage issues when using high-voltage batteries like Lithium Ion, which runs 3.6v per cell. To use it, shove a nail through the slug and cut off the end for the positive post. AA Slug (AAA Pocket) is a sheath for using AAA batteries in AA battery slots. Sometimes you have to work with what's available on-hand. This one requires a metal rod or a sturdy roll of foil to insert into the narrow opening, acting as a contact between the battery and the electronic device. I personally use an off-cut portion of nail from another slug. It might be possible to substitute large-gauge copper wire for a nail if you have some handy.
