AA battery holder with Keystone 209 Cell Leaf Spring Battery contact
thingiverse
7/1/2020: This is a design I came up with for an AA battery holder, using a Keystone 209 battery contact. Version 1 (v1) lets you clip the connector over the edge, with the "V" shape facing up. Version 2 (v2) has a slot that holds the connector firmly in place, with the "V" shape facing down. Each version comes in tabs and no tabs options, along with a mounting hole for a screw in the middle. There are multiple battery versions - 1 to 4 - of each type. I'm also working on a single battery model that has connection pins/holes on the side, allowing you to connect as many batteries together, side by side, as needed. This will be posted once I verify a print. The Keystone 209 connectors were purchased from ebay under the name "Keystone 209 Cell Leaf Spring Battery contact". The clip slides onto v1 easily but isn't secure until a battery is inserted. In contrast, the connector has a snug friction fit in the v2 model. However, the fit may vary based on your printer's calibration. 7/3/20: I've added the 2, 3, and 4 battery models to both v1 and v2 designs. Additionally, I've created a new design that allows multiple battery holders to be joined together using tabs. Be aware that some minor post-processing may be necessary to slightly enlarge the hole - just file a little at a time until you achieve a snug fit.
