This is an AA battery compartment. Place two AA batteries into the top slot. To remove the batteries, slide the compartment to the right, specifically the small box at the bottom of the unit with a hole in the top and right side. This simple design allows for quick and easy access to your batteries. The first image demonstrates how to pull out the batteries from this compartment.
