AA and AAA battery holders

thingiverse

Four versions of AA battery holders, three versions of AAA battery holders are available. Their backs are hollowed out and printing them upside down allows for fast and support-free printing. All four AA battery holder designs snugly hold 48 batteries. If you find it too tight, scaling each model by 1-2% before printing is an option. The battery tubes have a 1-degree inward draft from opening to the bottom hole, ensuring any AA battery finds a secure place to be held snugly. As AA batteries can vary slightly in diameter according to their specifications. The AAA holders follow the same design approach with holes sized for the maximum diameter of a AAA battery and an opening with a 1-degree draft going down to a smaller bottom opening to keep batteries at the same height when they hit the bottom. A partial cover is located at the bottom of each hole to prevent batteries from falling through. There are three versions available: a flat version for a drawer, a flat version with tabs for mounting to a surface or wall, and two 15-degree angled versions for mounting to a wall or a surface. If using the angled tab version and pre-drilling screw holes is necessary, use the holder as a template to ensure accurate angle placement. Each model should be mounted upside down without supports. The tabs are angled at 45 degrees, eliminating the need for support. The bottoms of the screw holes have 45-degree countersinks to prevent support requirements. Bevel-headed or flat-head screws can be used; the holes are sized for a 1/8-inch diameter screw and the head size can reach up to 3/8 inches (0.375).
