A8 X-axis leveling tool
thingiverse
My DIY X-axis leveling rods are designed to be simple and efficient, utilizing the hotbed mounting bracket instead of the Y-axis rods themselves. To set them up, simply slide each rod onto either side of the lower bracket, disable the steppers, and manually move into place while adjusting the Z-axis T-rods until both rods are at the same height. You can use a sheet of paper on each side to get an even level, just like during bed leveling. It's best to do this before attempting bed leveling itself. You can access my Tinkercad project here: https://tinkercad.com/things/bIWpiPAfTtn Feel free to remix the design if you need a different height for your specific setup. **Print Settings** * Printer: Anet A8 * Rafts: Doesn't Matter * Supports: No * Resolution: 0.4mm nozzle, 0.1mm layer thickness * Infill: 20% **Notes** I achieved a smooth finish on these parts by using 0.1mm layers. A small file that fits into the 3mm gap is useful for cleaning up and fine-tuning the leveling rods.
