I discovered that the print head cradle on my A8 had become quite flexible, sagging 5-10 degrees and was extremely unstable. To stabilize the cradle and support the weight of the print head assembly, I implemented a quick fix that made it more rigid. The steel cradle on mine measures 1.5 mm in thickness and has an outside edge to outside edge dimension of 55 mm when square. The custom-designed brace fits my printer precisely but may require adjustments to fit your specific model. To ensure a secure fit, I had to slightly sand the channels as they were too tight initially. A firm fit is essential for the brace to hold firmly in place due to the outward flex of the steel cradle.
