A8 nozzle/needle carriage for remote liquid/paste syringe extruder.
thingiverse
I have syringe extruders, but I'm having trouble mounting them on my printer because it's just too big. So, I'll leave the extruder alone and run plastic tubing from the syringe directly to the printer carriage. The actual tip holder slides up and down on a pair of 3mm rods that used to be old DVD drives. To get everything working smoothly, these rods need to be securely snug in place. Even the moving part should be snug enough to move freely, but not so tight that it doesn't budge at all. The goal is to have about a centimeter or two of extra space between the tip and the print bed, just to prevent any crashes. When printing with PLA, I aim for the best possible results by ensuring that each layer adheres properly to the one below it. In my case, I've printed with PLA+ in black at around 240 degrees Celsius, which seems to work pretty well. To keep everything in place, I use a nylon zip tie to clamp down the tubing and the female luer lock fitting together securely.
