A6M2 Zero Fighter Desktop Model
thingiverse
Previously, I had only white ABS filament and pondered on what to print in that color. After creating the Starship Enterprise replica, I was unsure. Remembering that early Zero fighter planes were white, I decided to model one using CAD software. Soon, a miniature sat on my desk, adding to my desktop collection of P-51, B-17, and P-40 models. However, printing the Zero pushed the limits of my UP! printer, causing some clipping issues in its software. These imperfections won't be fixed soon, but they may cause loss of finer details. The Zero model features removable landing gear that can either be glued or held by friction in the wing and comes with a stand. The propeller can be displayed as just the hub to simulate spinning or as a full 3-bladed version. Don't forget to print the nose down with support for optimal results.
