A3 Feeder Improvement
thingiverse
This is based on the A6 Feeder Improvement by Athanasus, making it easier to thread filament down through the mechanism to the hot end and providing more support for bendy soft filaments. Many changes were made to fit the Anet A3 and make it user-friendly. One assembly can now be taken off once the two screws at the bottom are undone. The Filament Guide Plate was redesigned from scratch, and the lever's thickness was reduced to account for the new back plate. Hopefully, if your machine is like mine, it should fit without any or too much adjustment. The filament throat on the entrance to the Filament Guide Plate has been opened up to make it easier to thread the filament from the lever. A 5mm drill was used and twisted by hand until it looked right, giving a better funnel shape. Maybe I'll change the drawing another time. Once fitted, ensure your drive cog is running free in the hole; if not, you may have a different size drive cog and need to make adjustments. You will need a short M3 screw and washer on the top right of the Filament Guide Plate, as well as a tiny self-tapper for the finger wheel on top of the spring screw. Apart from that, everything should be transferable or part of the assembly you print. Depending on how well your printer prints with your settings, you might just need to clean up the holes. With use, everything loosens up and runs really well. Thanks to Athanasus for getting me started, and I hope you find this improvement as good as I do. If you have a better one or need changes made to this, let me know.
