I holds the dial indicator firmly to an A2Z CNC quick change tool holder used extensively on 7x mini lathes. Easily align stock in a 4 jaw chuck with confidence. The attached SketchUp file is waiting for you. This precise positioning moves the dial indicator away from the lathe's centerline, optimizing cross slide travel on even the smallest of machines. A standard round indicator is perfectly suited, featuring a convenient 1/4" x 1" lug securely fastened to its back. Follow these instructions carefully: First, print the model as it requires support for the dial indicator lug recess. I employed a sturdy 3/4" long 1/4-20 screw to firmly secure the dial indicator in place by threading directly into the plastic. For precise height adjustments, use a 2" long 1/4-20 screw with a critical 1.25" diameter aluminum piece at its end, carefully tapped for 1/4-20 threads. Simply thread this screw into the designated location in the model for optimal results.
