So this is the original, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3372835
Remixed to this, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3623043

I made a slide to add to AirBee's (https://www.thingiverse.com/airbee/designs) to offload into a tray sitting on the bench, glued on with Gorilla crazy glue.
I have my nozzle stop in the center of the area between the wipe bar and the crossbar.
Important to cover the slide and the cross-arm with aluminum tape or similar to avoid sticking.
I made my wipe bar out of a piece of a silicone hose from the internals of an old drip coffee machine.

Before the bar and the one second pause in the gcode, it was dragging the extruded bits up onto the bed, but the pause lets them stretch down the ramp a bit, and if the filament happens to ball up at the nozzle, the crossbar catches it before it goes up any further.

I'm down to 20mm of extrude per wipe, and I think that is dangerously low, so I might have to bump it back up to 25mm.

I'm using Prusa Slicer, and the G-Code that runs it is actually fairly simple and shamelessly borrowed from here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3525097 or maybe here, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3395883
This code goes in under Filament Settings/Custom G-Code

; Start Extruder 1
M211 S0 ; Turn off soft stops
G0 X-11.5 F12000 ; Go to X=-11.5mm at 200mm/s
G92 E0 ; Reset extrusion distance on new tool
T0 ; Activate tool 0
G1 E20 F250 ; Extrude 20mm of filament at 30mm/s
G4 S1 ; Pause for 1 second to allow filament to stretch out of nozzle
M211 S1 ; Turn on soft stops
G92 E0 ; Set current extruder position to 0mm
G0 F10000 ; Increase feed rate before next travel

;End Extruder 1
G92 E0 ; Reset extrusion distance
G1 E-3 F1800 ; Retract 3mm
G92 E0 ; Reset extrusion distance on old tool

; Start Extruder 2
M211 S0 ; Turn off soft stops
G1 X-11.5 F12000 ; Go to X=-11.5mm at 200 mm/sec
G92 E0 ; Reset extrusion distance on new tool
T1 ; Activate tool 1
G1 E20 F250 ; Extrude x mm of filament at 4 mm/s on new tool
G4 S1 ; Pause for 1 second
M211 S1 ; Turn on soft stops
G92 E0 ; Set current extruder position to 0mm
G0 F10000 ; Increase feed rate before next travel

;End Extruder 2
G92 E0 ; Reset extrusion distance
G1 E-3 F1800 ; Retract 3mm at 30 mm/s
G92 E0 ; Reset extrusion distance on old tool

Print Settings

Printer:

Geeetech A10M

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Yes

Resolution:

0.2mm

Infill:

15% Gyroid

Filament: Hello3D PLA Matte Black

Category: 3D Printer Accessories
