A10M, A10, A10D and similar Eletcronics fan cover
thingiverse
The stock cover on the A10M printer is incredibly loud, and existing covers designed for earlier models are too large to fit around the upgraded bed levelling dials found on the A10M. I decided to attempt creating a new cover that would redirect airflow away from the front of the machine. My latest design addresses an issue with the previous version: it now features an overhang on the venting area, which prevents drips from accumulating and potentially falling into the electronics compartment. This custom cover is engineered to accommodate the standard 40mm fan currently used in the A10M's metal lid. I secured the fan using self-tapping screws, allowing me to reuse the existing mounting hardware. The result is a significant reduction in noise levels, thanks to the redirection of airflow towards the side of the printer. By implementing this design change, the sounds generated by the fan are now less bothersome and more manageable.
