A vRoomba - Pull Back Motor Vacuum Robot

A vRoomba - Pull Back Motor Vacuum Robot

thingiverse

Create a robotic sweeper using a cheap "Pull Back" style motor from a dollar-store toy, inspired by the popular "Cat on a Vacuum" meme. The design is done by eyeball and fits snugly around the motor. No specific brand of automatic carpet cleaner is implied, and any resemblance to trademarked products is coincidental. Slic3r may complain about non-manifold errors, but Blender finds no issues with the STL file. The slicing results are perfect, and a concentric top fill complements the robot's contours. Melt-insert metal bushings (optional) from McMaster-Carr part 94180A331 can be used for the front axle. A picture gallery with helpful tips is available at http://imgur.com/a/eD9cW, where adjustments may be needed based on your motor. This project encourages experimenting with common toys and unconventional ideas from local discount stores.
