A 3D printable tripod is at your disposal if you own a camera and desire stability, timelapse functionality or group photos. Daid has designed a minimalistic version; find it here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:24253. An updated version boasts 'leg stops' to prevent failure under the weight of your camera. SolidWorks 2013 source files are also included. Additional tools needed include a 1/4-20x1.0" socket head cap screw, a 1/4-20 tap drill and optionally, BuddyGripper3D printouts. Alternatively, purchase a Production Kit from buddygripper.com. Instructions are to download and print the specified STL files, assemble and insert the 1/4-20 screw into the ballPivot for use. The design was inspired by a tripod priced at 13 Euros in Spain. Share your thoughts!
