A Twist Lock System for the Bottom of a 5 Gallon Bucket
thingiverse
This mechanism allows you to securely fasten a 5-gallon bucket to a base. I use it for my mobile dust collector, where the dust collection bin is a 5-gallon bucket, but I'm sure there are other uses for this device. It consists of two parts - the "Pin" part is attached to the bottom of the bucket with screws drilled through its bottom surface. The "Lock" part is mounted down to the surface you want the bucket to latch onto. You will need five 1/4-inch steel dowel pins that are inserted into the "Pin" part. I used McMaster's part #98381A537 (https://www.mcmaster.com/98381a537), but any 1/4-inch pin should work just as well. I employed Cura's support offsets to make cleaning out the lock areas easier by ensuring that the supports did not touch the inside surfaces in those areas.
