A TUSH - Adjustable "the ultimate spool holder"
thingiverse
I printed filamentry's spoolholder, https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2047554, and was impressed with its great design. However, I encountered issues with my larger spools falling off and the bearing breaking away from the little pressfit knobs. Perhaps that was also due to my infill settings, which may have been too aggressive. Ultimately, I decided to reimagine the concept, and voila! My new design utilizes ABEC9 ball bearings, which are incredibly easy to find. The aluminum rods are 8mm in diameter, perfectly sized for the bearings and providing stability to the entire structure. You can cut these rods to fit a single spool or make them longer, allowing you to slide them up and down depending on your desired spool size. Thanks for checking it out, guys! Let me know what you think! P.S.: Don't forget, you only need to print the Part.stl file. UPDATE: I've since discovered that smaller spools can cause problems due to their positioning on an enforcement bar. To resolve this issue, I simply cleared that area, leaving the rest of the design intact.
