The sculpture 'A Torso' is an integral part of the Muzeon Park of arts, established in 1992. This park was originally envisioned as a vibrant cultural destination, thanks in large part to its proximity to the Tretyakov gallery and the Central House of Artists, both of which are renowned institutions. The area is also dotted with notable monuments of culture and architecture spanning from the XVII century to the XX century. By the nineties and zero years, Muzeon had become a beloved spot for Muscovites to stroll due to its convenient location and meticulously maintained grounds. Among the over 700 sculptures in the park's collection are numerous outstanding works from the Soviet era, including a striking monument by Mukhina, a tribute to Maxim Gorky created by Shadra, as well as a fragment of Vychetich's sculpture "Stand to Death," which has been skillfully replicated.
