A Support for iPhone Cable
thingiverse
The primary issue with a 30-pin USB cable for devices like iPhone, iPad, or iPod is the lack of stress relief. Numerous solutions have been proposed by others, and I offer a straightforward one-piece fix. This part can be printed without support or raft, using default "standard" settings in MakerWare except for fill: 0.2mm thickness, 2 shells, and 20% fill. It takes approximately 12 minutes to print and weighs around 1.5g. Insert the cable through the slit and slide it over the connector for use. However, be cautious not to pull the cable to seat the connector, as this may damage the wire you wish to protect.
