A Sturdy Simple Spool Holder

I needed several custom spool holders but couldn't find anything that fit my needs, so I created this attractive and super simple yet surprisingly sturdy spool holder entirely out of 3D printed parts that snap together easily. It's designed to fit almost all types of filament spools up to 1 kg in weight, with size being the limiting factor not the weight itself. I initially printed at three shells and twenty percent infill but realized it was overkill. You're probably okay with two shells and ten percent infill. The top part rests on the holder for easy removal of the spool, while the bottom legs snap into place to hold the sides together securely. Depending on your printer's accuracy you might need to use an adhesive, but in my case it was a perfect fit. To print this design, simply print two side pieces, two leg pieces, and one top piece.
