A stand for Bierley ColorMouse & MonoMouse magnifiers - adjust zoom level
thingiverse
ColorMouse and MonoMouse devices are fantastic tools that make it incredibly easy for visually impaired individuals to use. With only two buttons, on/off and vision mode, which digitally boosts contrast, they provide a simple yet effective solution. Unfortunately, these devices lack one crucial feature: adjustable magnification levels. They come with fixed magnification settings, which can be frustrating. You can't even read a newspaper without constantly swiping the device from left to right. To address this issue, I created a simple stand that elevates the Color/MonoMouse, allowing the entire newspaper column to be displayed in its magnified form. The stand consists of two feet, a body, a cable strap, and a reflector. To assemble it, you'll need six small screws (three 12mm screws should suffice). By adjusting the height of the feet before printing, you can achieve different magnification levels if desired. Since I designed this stand for SCART version devices, I suspect that the USB version will also work just fine.
