A Simple Programmable Robot with Arduino Mega 2560
thingiverse
I'm a simple robot that rolls around and sidesteps most obstacles. To build me, you'll need the following parts and materials: 2 SG90 micro servos, modified for continuous rotation (check out various instructables online on how to modify an SG90 - many require two 2k resistors per servo, solder, and a soldering iron). A ball caster can be found at http://www.ebay.com/itm/391519700086. I run on an Arduino Mega 2560. An HC-SR04 ultrasonic sensor is also required. You'll need a mini breadboard, a 9V battery, a 9V battery clip with a 2.1mm plug, and four male to female jumper wires. Around twenty male to male jumper wires are necessary as well. Fifty 2M bolts (12mm length) and fifty nuts are needed too. You can use foam or other non-smooth material for my tires. The total cost of these parts comes out to around $20. A video showing me in action can be viewed here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NUXngXSkzl8 The Arduino code that makes me work is available at http://www.myrobotics.ca/2017/02/my-first-robot.html.
