A Simple Paperclip

A Simple Paperclip

The 'Giant Paperclip' design (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:35921) was the inspiration behind this version. Due to printing issues at low resolution (0.3mm), a more practical, less ornate model was created. To make your own, select an STL file for either a single clip or eight and proceed with slicing and printing. Alternatively, use the OpenSCAD source, modify parameters as desired, then generate an STL. The default is to create eight clips; adjust this value in the code if necessary. For optimal results, set a depth of 1mm for more flexibility; increasing it can make them less bendy. A raft layer or brim isn't needed because these thin objects adhere well to the print bed. I've used these for joining project cards in a card file, and the default sizes work great. Adjust as needed for your specific use.
