grabcad
A standard simple screwdriver has a handle, a shaft that ends in a tip, and a handle that is used to turn the tip into the screw head. A power drill, which is more contemporary and functional and can also drill holes, has mostly supplanted this type of screwdriver in offices and households. In order to prevent bending or twisting, the shaft is often composed of strong steel. The tip may be treated with a dark tip coating for increased visual contrast between tip and screw, toughened to withstand wear, or ridged or treated to add more "grip".
