Another North Uist bothy nestles near Loch nan Stuban on the western shore of the island. The landscape showcases a sophisticated agropastoral system with numerous ridges of former field systems crisscrossing the terrain. The bothy stands atop a raised mound, displaying unmistakable signs of enrichment from human settlement and occupation. The intricate evidence of ridges, masonry, and earthworks suggests that this was part of a larger complex of structures or possibly even a single compound building. It's unlikely that this was a broch, as the area lacks an upland zone and nearby rig and furrow fields are clearly visible.
