A rat on a cheese
cults3d
A rodent sitting atop a wheel of cheddar...\n\nSculpture crafted with Zbrush and Blender, it prints in four parts: the torso/cheddar ensemble, the snout, and two ears.\n\nPrinting demands no support structure.\n\nI managed this impression in under 36 hours, the longest print being for the torso and cheddar, a bit over 30 hours.\n\nOnce the ensemble has been printed, all that remains is to bond the pieces together. I employed loctite gel adhesive. For an improved finish you must fill the joints at the snout and ears (as well as the few minor printing imperfections) with for example Milliput paste. For my part, I use a mixture of plaster and wood glue which yields a quite satisfactory result. Once the joints are dry, all that's left to do is to smooth them out and apply a smoothing solution if necessary before painting the piece.\n\nHeight: approximately 20 cm\n\nLength approximately 15 cm\n\nThe Rodent's License on a Cheddar is for personal, non-commercial use.
