A.R. Drone Prop adapter
thingiverse
This adapter replaces the metal adapters that come with Carbon Fiber replacement props and allows you to use them without cutting off the center hub from the stock prop. It fits onto the stock gear pegs and provides a mount for a carbon fiber replacement prop on the A.R. drone 1.0. The C-clip can still be used to secure the shaft, but I suggest using button screws along with Blue Loctite to prevent anything from coming loose. You can also use small servo screws for added security. Since this is a moving part, it's crucial to print with a high fill rate; I used 100% and had no issues. Printing at .2mm resolution with PLA is also highly recommended. To ensure a smooth mesh with the curve of the blade, you may need to trim the top edges slightly after printing. Print Settings: Printer Brand: Solidoodle Printer: Workbench Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: 0.2mm Infill: 100% Notes: Printed at .2mm resolution with 100% fill in PLA.
