A Present Cache Box
cults3d
Making several puzzle boxes into geocache log containers. The inspiration for this puzzle box was Mr Burns Mystery Box. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3845118 Unfortunately my build of that box failed on first usage, but the principle of a false bottom box was sound enough, so I changed the method of extracting the false bottom to magnetic. The false bottom has sideways facing magnets. On the outside of the box are ribbons containing other magnets that can be used to haul the false bottom up. The design uses 8 nyodimium 2x10 mm magnets, but you might be able to just use 4, gluing the other ribbons to the box. The top of the box uses a ribbon bow from the Christmas Gift Box https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:197159 I used Z offset of 5mm to print the bow in a different colour to the lid, whilst the lid was still on the bed.
