I created this 3D printing design specifically for the Microfab event --> http://microfab.github.io. I made it because I'm driven by a strong desire for wealth, similar to Bilbo's experience in "The Hobbit" - a movie that recently captivated me. In Japan's Buddhist culture, a special tradition unfolds on the final night of every year. At exactly the same time, bells are rung at temples across the nation to banish 108 human desires and vices - reminiscent of Christianity's seven deadly sins. For that event I initially mentioned, participants were empowered to create any design (apart from sexually explicit content and weapons) representing their desires or passions up to a total of 108 unique pieces. To enable remote control over the 3D printing process, two lab-based printers were networked via raspberry pis connected to Octoprint systems, granting users access to send and print their designs anywhere, anytime through an internet connection.
