a petanque pocket counter

I got sidetracked here for a bit with this little object: a petanque pocket counter that's been keeping me on my toes. With numbers ranging from 0 to 13, it's perfect for keeping score in any petanque game you're playing. The little trick I tried to pull off was making the numbers rotate smoothly while minimizing parts and fuss. To achieve this, I turned the axis into a unique 14-sided oval shape that aligned perfectly with the outer 14-sided oval. This clever design gave me the friction I needed without sacrificing movability. However, I soon discovered that the axis still required some sanding to get it just right - finding that perfect balance was key. Once that was sorted out, I glued on the end part and added a pop of color to the wheels using a marker. The finished product looks great even at 75% scale.
