A Palladian Bridge

thingiverse

The model is based upon the Palladian Bridge built in 1737 in the gardens of Wilton House near Salisbury. It consists of several parts designed to slot together and fix permanently in position with a little superglue. The exploded diagram above shows how the parts fit together. The model in the photos was printed on my MakerBot Replicator+ at the default settings of 10% infill and a layer height of 0.2mm. No supports are needed if the parts are printed in the orientation shown. Note that you will need to print two copies of the Steps and the Connectors. OVERALL SIZE: 28.5cm long x 6.7cm wide x 9.5cm high PRINTING TIMES: Base – 3h. 2m. Ceiling – 2h. 25m. Connectors – 4m. Pillars – 4h. 10m. Roof – 1h. 52m. Steps – 1h. 54m.
