The only change from the version by cmh, is I have replaced the bar on the back with 20x6mm aluminium bar. I am also not using the 3d printed spring seat. I cut the top of the cap that came with the dial gauge and turned a small seat to sit on top. The overall length is the same as the 3d printed spring seat. The two halves of the handle and 4 of the pins are glued together with epoxy. Use the "Drill guide" as a template for the length of the bar and the hole locations. A source of springs in Australia. Champion C102-32 https://www.championparts.com.au/product/c102-32/ . These are available from a number of suppliers in Australia. They are 65mm long. I cut mine down to size.
