A Medieval Throne
thingiverse
The throne model is printed in three distinct components: a single, integrated seat and back piece, as well as separate right and left side legs. A dais for the throne to rest on is also included, along with an extended double-width dais designed specifically for 'his and her' thrones. The 1:25 scale model measures 8.25cm in height and 3cm in width. For those who still think in terms of feet and inches, a 1:24 version is available, which translates to a half-inch to one-foot ratio and results in a slightly larger design. Slots and flanges are strategically integrated into the design to facilitate proper positioning of the legs, while a small amount of Superglue can be used to secure them permanently in place. All parts should be printed according to the orientation depicted in the provided images. The models showcased in the pictures were successfully printed on my Makerbot Replicator+ using a raft but no supports, at default settings featuring 10% infill and a layer height of 0.2mm. PRINT TIMES (1:25 version): Throne (all three parts printed simultaneously) - 1h 3m Dais (single) - 1h 14m Dais (double) - 1h 54m Print times for the 1:24 version are marginally longer.
