A medical bag used by miners
sketchfab
This is a medical bag used to treat injured miners in the 20th century. The front of this bag displays a red cross on a white background, an emblem that remains recognizable today as a symbol found on hospitals and ambulances. Every miner knew exactly what this bag was for and what it contained due to the presence of this red cross emblem, which held medical equipment such as gauze or a stethoscope. The bag itself is made of leather to ensure durability over an extended period of time, but its age and usage have taken their toll on its current state. Despite being somewhat dusty, the bag can still be closed using a buckle at the front, although it's held together by strings and safety clips alone due to loose seams. created by: Fee Lucie, Wiegandt Location: Nederlands Mijnmuseum, Heerlen
