A-Mazing Box
thingiverse
A Python script generates OpenSCAD models to produce two parts of a box that screw together or snap fit. The maze pattern on the box comes from an attached grayscale PNG file. To customize, adjust the PNG filename and part variable in mazebox\_clean2\_stable.py (1 for bottom part, 2 for top part). The model is designed with a precise 1.5mm wall thickness when intersected with a parallel XY-plane, but the 3D inset operation can be challenging resulting in slight variation. Nonetheless, the printed parts remain stable after printing on a MakerBot for up to two hours. Custom mazes are available upon request. Printed versions are now sold at http://www.hackerspaceshop.com/3dprinting/a-mazing-box.html due to high demand.
