Our mask is now available on the National Institute of Health (NIH) website at https://3dprint.nih.gov/discover/3DPX-013755. Please visit www.amaskforall.com for full details. Don't let download numbers discourage you! This mask has been downloaded thousands of times, but every time we update it based on community feedback, our previous downloads are lost. We appreciate your continued support and feedback! A critical issue emerged: the global shortage of N95 masks, procedure masks, and PPE, which are desperately needed by just about everyone, especially frontline caregivers battling COVID-19. Like many concerned citizens, we wanted to help flatten the curve and stop the spread, so we created A Mask For All. Developed by a team of experts, this face mask was designed to be easily 3D printable, providing quick access to anyone with a 3D printer and their communities. This reusable mask contains a filter insert for various types of easily available filter media that can be used and disposed. In addition, we just released a version of the mask for the hard of hearing. This mask features a transparency to allow users' faces to be visible for lip reading. The new design includes a snap ring to hold the transparency in place once it's cut by hand or with a laser cutter (DXF and PDF versions are included both with and without dimensions). Thicker materials like acrylic and polycarbonate can also be used and attached to the front with a sealant. Here's a video of the assembly process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=slSPrglhLPg&feature=youtu.be This design requires no support structures. Please visit www.amaskforall.com for complete instructions on use and disinfecting. Help us help you and your community avoid catching the COVID-19 virus. PRINTING INSTRUCTIONS (READ BEFORE PRINTING!): Everyone's face has slightly different proportions. We offer three sizes based on the size of your face. To determine your face size, measure the distance indicated in the attached images and scale your model accordingly. If using a tape measure, hold one end to the tape measure at the crest of your nose. Place your thumb on the tape measure where it contacts the bottom of your chin. Then, move the tape measure away from your face and see the distance indicated by your thumb's position on the tape measure. The sizes are: SMALL: Less than 105mm (less than 4-1/8 inch) MEDIUM: 105-115mm (4-1/8 inch to 4-1/2 inch) LARGE: Greater than 115 mm (4-1/2 inch) Everyone's nose is shaped differently as well. If you have a gap around the nose, it can be filled with a soft liner or the nose section of the mask can be dipped in boiling water for a few seconds. Once removed from the water, the nose section can be pinched or pulled to re-mold the mask. Upon cooling in a few seconds, it will return to its rigid structure.
