A.M.V.P Mk.III (Chinchilla) 6x6 AFV
thingiverse
This is a 1/72 scale model of an imagined armored vehicle. The print space spans 14x10cm or approximately 5 1/2"x4", so it should fit within most desktop printers with ease. I minimized overall surface detail and recessed it as well, making for smooth printing and finishing. The model comes together in parts, no glue required; yet, the wheels could use a bit of adhesive for added stability. The clips holding the hull sections and securing the turret grip tightly, necessitating some filing may be needed. Axles and moving parts may need to be filed or sanded to allow for smoother movement. Modelers can augment with traditional model kit parts to increase detail, but even basic printing creates a great small model/toy. Not suitable for children under 3 years old. Instructions: I employed a raft and supports when printing this model. The top half of the hull required them. The axles and gun also benefited from a raft. Slide the turret cylinder through the circular hole in the upper hull section. Secure the turret to the turret cylinder, utilizing clips for a snug fit. Choose either the gun or the gun mount provided with the print; attach your selected mount to the turret using the clipping mechanism. Clamp the upper hull section onto the lower hull section by pressing together firmly to clip securely. Insert axles through holes in the lower hull section. Mount a tire on each end of all three axles. (Some glue may be required for a tight, secure fit.)
