This is a 1/72 scale replica of an imaginary eight-wheeled armored fighting vehicle. Once printed, with adhesive and manual labor, it forms a mobile toy car or can be finished for display purposes or used as a prop in gaming sessions. This was my first creation and presented a multitude of printing and assembly challenges, even for an expert model builder such as myself. I specifically designed this vehicle to accommodate effortless sanding and filing of hard plastics as well as optimize customization with detail components through the process known as "kit bashing" (using parts from pre-existing plastic model kits). Assembling this model proves difficult. It is better suited for experienced builders, makers, and gamers. The Mk.III (Chinchilla) presents an improved print quality and simple assembly. Don't worry; the Mk.IV is on its way. A functional version of the Mk.II can be constructed from the initial three files, but corners printed at warp speed may lead to fit difficulties; therefore, a new hull design was introduced in the fourth file to address this problem. Additionally, the cylinder positioned below the turret requires modification, being too tall by default, and axles should be shortened, while the hull demands an added structural support, the wheels lack one but are challenging to remove. Following substantial sanding operations and three layers of primer application, a smooth finish was finally achieved. Unfortunately, I encountered printing problems with small components like hatches and details; to solve this issue, model kit parts were incorporated into my project. I used an airbrush for the final coat of paint on the model, along with HD stencil products from Anarchy Models for the hexagonal camouflage pattern application. The end result exhibited excellent workmanship, proving Anarchy's stencil system is indeed a top-notch product.
