A-Liner LXE HVAC Heat Pump Bed Output Adapter

This is a HVAC pipe adapter that converts the round output of the heat pump hoses to a rectangular output behind the bed. In the A-Liner LXE the default HVAC output is under the bed, and when the bed is out the air just loops under the bed because the air return is also under the bed. With this adapter you can move the air output to behind the bed so the air will be forced to flow over the bed to get back to the air return. This adapter attaches to the wooden support against the back of the A-Liner that supports the plywood bed base. The adapter has a ledge to support the plywood. You have to cut a rectangle shape out of the plywood to fit this adapter. You should print this part on its side with support material from the base. There should be no need for support material internally, but a few overhangs will be a bit rough. The round end is sized to support 60mm air duct, which is what was used with the heat pump installed in my A-Liner. You can buy the black ones that are in the pictures on Amazon. The fit is snug, but not air tight. I suggest using hot glue around the edge of the ducting where it meets the adapter. There are 4 screw holes. The horizontal ones are easy to access. The screw holes in the top are very hard to get to because of the slope of the A-Liner wall getting in the way. I was able to get it to work with a variety of screwdriver adapters, but I apologize for the poor design. It's probably only necessary to get one of these screws in place as the horizontal screws provide quite a bit of hold.
