Gear extruder designers often opt for parts that are readily available and simple to assemble. The design I've come up with requires components that are relatively easy to source and set up correctly. However, a potential issue arises from the large gear's thickness, which measures 14mm. Nevertheless, I believe this is an acceptable trade-off given the overall performance of the extruder. I'm confident you'll find it satisfactory from your perspective as well.
