A fool-bot proof iris box

msruggles's iris box (available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4458) inspired my design for a redesigned, printer-friendly version. If you struggle with printing the original, try this alternative. The modified box features a smaller size and no tiny gears; it retains msruggles's overall structure. The five shutters are in one print file, but require support material set to "exteriors only" during skeinforge processing. Each pin fits into a slot on the "ring" part while also interlocking for stability. I secured the shutters with filament and welded it onto the "cover" using a soldering iron. A locking mechanism on the "ring" to secure it to the "box" is optional, as tolerances may not necessitate its use.
