A filament reel holder that uses Airsoft bb's as bearings
thingiverse
The filament reel holder is a versatile setup that can be either bolted or set onto a 20x20 rail. To function, airsoft BBs serve as ball bearings within the device. Users align the notches in the bearing and carefully insert the remaining BBs to secure them in place. This design allows for adjustable positioning of one reel on a T-slot nut while leaving the other simply resting on the 2020 rail. The arrangement enables users to effortlessly slide one reel around to accommodate reels of varying widths. The bearings are securely fastened onto the braces using 3mm x 7mm bolts, or longer alternatives as needed.
